Adding camera to iPad

Can I add a camera to the original iPad to do facetime and use iMoive etc?

iMac G5 iMac -intel, macbook, iphone, many older macs that I have rescued :0, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

There are already Apps that allow you to use your iPhone as a Bluetooth camera for the iPad to capture pictures. If this can be done, a similar application can be devised to take advantage of video software, whether Apple enables this for FaceTime or iMovie remains to be seen. However, they have already begun to allow third parties to access AirPlay, so there's hope. Otherwise, I would be surprised if an App like Skype did not implement such a feature. And the iPad uses USB, as evidenced by Bluetooth keyboards which can be used connected via the Camera dock. So the iPad should be able to use a USB-based camera if Apple allows it. I don't see hardware being a limitation here.
