Is there indeed no solution existing resp. in planning for the ipad ( i mean ipad1)? im also not interesting to destroi my ipad(1) or to jailbreak it.
Finding a webcam should not be the problem: of course you to select one without driver-software, a so called uvc-webcam with usb. Usb to create on ipad is no problem -you use a so called ipad-connecting-kit ( ~30€).
Now we need an app (faceTime!). I hope finding it in app-store of apple and that faceTime is not a native app of ipad2 only! My recherche acc. webcam ( ~ 20€ and more) and connecting kit with above mentioned features were succesful in the web shopping AMAZON.de.

May be, I get a chance at all after 11/03/2011 ( date for publishing ios4.3 in Europe). I hope than upgrading the io4.2 of my ipad(1), perhaps apple created the faceTime-app as the native one within ios4.3.

Reason for all that inelegant method abbove: i dont want to loose 600€ or little less after buying the ipad ( 4 mothes ago).

What does the forum or better the experts still more better apple about all that????
