No problem, I understand now 🙂 Thanks for the app. I think I'll give that a go in the meantime, see if I can get any wiser on what's going on with my battery. Especially since I checked activity monitor and it didn't show up anything unusual in terms of CPU usage.
Also handy to know about Firefox, perhaps it might be a factor as I periodically use it to check my email only (via virginmedia website) as there seems to be some kind of glitch when using safari to log in to the website (ie login doesn't work), so I sometimes toggle between the two.
Thanks
OLD topic, I know, but I want to give it a go. I've had my Early 2011 MBP since day one. This thing was a POS when I got it. Battery got in about 1.5 years, mother-board find twice, track pad SHOT, Now I'm having trouble with CD drive and I NEVER USE IT. Used it maybe 30 times, and only about 10 of those times were for burning. It won't load a blank disk ever time. got it to work once over a weekend and now, it just keeps ejecting them. Brand new discs, but they ARE from Walmart. Anyway, the battery life on these things is CRAP at best. I use nothing but Safari and I get maybe 2.5 hours. Granted, my second battery is down to 75% with a 4363 mAh, but it's never gotten any better than that. bTW, anyone who wants to compare it to what they're also running, THIS IS A COMPUTER and has certain selling point claims. If it doesn't meet em, stop ******** because, you could've taken it back. I had Apple Care and mine was basically rebuilt. Don't play Civilization 5 on it. Burns it up.
