On my 21" & 27" iMacs my iPad will charge whilst in use and connected to a primary USB port, albeit more slowly than when not in use, but it will charge in a reasonable amount of time.

It will never charge from any of my USB powered hubs.
Granted, some (many?) machines will not have enough power on the USB port to charge an in use iPad but some Apple machines do. I've not tried it on my MBP.
Mine is plugged into wall and won't charge.
My problem is similar to the original question in that I cannot use my iPad when it is charging. It will not recognise being touched, will not open apps and some times when I touch the screen another part of the screen will respond. Any ideas what to do? I have just put this on another thread too, but desperate to get it working properly. I have tried the reset option also. Thanks!
