Home Sharing drop out with Apple TV2

Just did the updates for i-tunes (10.2.1), ATV2 (4.2), and Ipad (4.3). And what I'm getting is when I stream from the computer using the ipad remote app, music starts then just stops. I go to ATV settings and turn airplay off then back on, then the music start again. Then goes out again. But if I just use the ATV, music, photos, YouTube, movies, etc.. everything works fine. It just when I stream. ATV show strong WI-FI signal. Never had any issues until I did the updates. Tried rebooting ATV, did a restart on the computer. NO GO. I'm thinking it's a home sharing issue but I don't really know. Has anyone else having any problems since the new updates? Or any ideas on what I should try. Any help would be great...
Thanks

Same problem as indicated in many posts above. ATV2 has been working quite happily since January then latest update comes out and now home sharing drops after approx 1 hour. It only returns if you do a full reinstall and then drops after an approx 1 hour. Otherwise I have to remove the power and restart the box where it picks up home sharing again and then drops after an approx 1 hour.... Perhaps you can sense the cycle of doom here....

Problem just started with the 4.2.2 software update. ATV2 is on a hardwired net connection. iTunes running on Vista. PC shows no wobble but streamed movies stop every 10 minutes. ATV2 doesn't require reattach to home sharing, just reopen iTunes share, select movie, and resume. Still a disruptive pain. Certainly time related as drop out happens at different areas depending on where movie is started.

After replacing my router 4 days ago and getting my ATV2 home sharing functionality back, I promised to provide an update here after a few days. So far, so good. Everything has worked great since then, and I haven't seen a single hiccup. Granted, I haven't spent that whole time continuously using it (or even close to that), but I've spent some time each day using it, and all has been well. When not in the home theater room to watch TV, I've left it running streaming shuffled music from my iTunes collection. Every so often I would walk into the room to confirm that all was well, and it always was. I'll continue to monitor and report...

In my particular case, I have no idea what is so fundamentally different now from my previous setup. Went from a D-Link DIR-655 router to a Cisco/Linksys E4200, and left the E4200 with basically default settings, except for the bare minimum I had to do to configure my wireless setup (the connection to the ATV2 is hardwired).

I can confirm that downgrading to 10.2.1 solved my iTunes streaming problem. I did not ever have Netflix or other streaming problems, so I can't speak to that.

I luckily had an old copy on another computer that I had not yet upgraded to 10.2.2. I did a regular drag/copy of my 10.2.1 iTunes app onto the Applications folder containing the 10.2.2 app across my network.

Of course all the regular caveats apply like make sure you have backups of your music and your iTunes app, etc. But this worked for me and I've been streaming much longer than the point where it used to cut out.

Again -- Mac mini OS 10.6.7, streaming from iTunes 10.2.1 via a Linksys router running DD-WRT to Apple TV running OS 4.2.2 (2203).

I've been having problems streaming movies from iTunes to Apple TV. Over both Ethernet and WiFi connections. I've also tried playing the media in iTunes and Airplaying it to the Apple TV instead, and that was also unreliable. All these problems became much worse after the Apple TV 4.2.2 update.

Also had a problem where iPhone Remote app couldn't connect to any of my libraries. Deleted the app and re-installed it and it fixed that problem.

Well it appears that the 4.2.2 fixes a LOT of WiFi issues and connecting using AppleTV. I just installed it and everything is back to working. My problems was that the apple TV connected to the wifi but would loose itself and not be able to transmit any packets across the wifi.

Of course apple didn't admit it but looks like the 4.2.2 version has everything working again.

Going to have to disagree with you here. Been having problems with Home Sharing all along, and 4.2.2 only made it worse for me.
