Seriously, all day yesterday trying to finish formatting the cover for my book...and everytime I saved it to pdf it had borders. So frustrating. Thanks so much!

Aug 10, 2011 8:13 AM in response to Go for Joyby TheFoodAnalyst,Hi Go4Joy,
You are indeed great! Just one problem...I tried to create a PDF of a 5pp Word document with a picture cover (photo pasted onto the Word document's first page) and the PDF came back in two halves - regardless of what I tried - with the front cover in one file and the 4 pages of text (with inserted pictures) in a separate ".2" file. How do I create just one file like all the rest of the methods?
Cheers!
Foodie.

No, I have not found a solution other than getting someone else to do my PDFs on a Microsoft operating system, which is of course very unsatisfactory. Any ideas?

Jan 31, 2012 7:16 AM in response to TheFoodAnalystby mitja.simcic,Hi Foodie,
The only way I managed to do this is to click somewhere in first section and then:
- Cmd+P
- Page Setup
- Select Paper Size: PDF (borderless) - the one you created as Go for Joy described
Than click on next section of Document and repeat the process (Cmd+P,...).
Do this for all sections and you shouldn't get splitted files.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Mitja.

Feb 5, 2012 2:40 AM in response to mitja.simcicby TheFoodAnalyst,Hi Mitja,
It did not work for me quite the way you described. But what I did was to "Select All" from the "Edit" menu of Word (instead of setting up each page separately) and then I followed all previous advice: i.e. cmd+P - Page setup - PDF Borderless - Save as PDF.
And it worked PERFECTLY! All pages were in one PDF file; no splitting.
Many thanks for helping me to find my solution! :-)
Foodie.
