Still not shipped...
Totally stupid that I couldnt preorder....

Black, 64 GB, WiFi only w/engraving ordered 3/11 @4.01 EST, shipped 3/14 with delivery estimate of 3/18.

According to my order status:

Ships: 3 - 5 business days
Delivers: Mar 18 - Mar 25

It went to prepared for shipment around 8am on Monday, 03.14.2011. It's been there ever since.

I heard on the news that Apple is going to replenish their stock in stores today. Does that mean we might our iPads shipped faster. Hope so.

Guys, take a deep breath and relax yo. If Apple stated that your device would ship in 3-5 business days, then that means shipping can be anywhere from Tuesday the 15th to Thursday the 17th (don’t forget that Friday the 11th is counted as 1 business day if I’m not mistaken). Unless you plan on using your shiny brand new iPad2 to go over to Japan to help with their nuclear plant reactor issues, WTH is the big rush? Sure, I like my tech “toys” just like the next guy but regardless of when I get it the experience will still be the same. After reading through the iPad forum, I’ve never seen so many ppl bust ballz over a “machine” (which is basically what it is once you remove all the glitz and glamor). Knowing my luck, I won’t receive mine until March 25th….but yo, no big deal....I’ll still enjoy it when I get it.

It is all part of the thrill of the chase. Besides, it is much more fun than not having one on order and watching the deliveries go up to 4-5 weeks......

Brooklyn is correct - I think her comments are directed towards people who are filling despondent when they can't get their hands on the toy instantaneously. And Allan is correct as well - it is the thrill of the chase. But, it is also true that we need to get a life (yours truly included). 🙂

Let us not forget, there are folks out there whose only chase is for food, water, or a missing loved one.

I just now spoke to Apple Sales and they are focusing on shipping out the 32GB 3G versions today - it does make sense to run the production line with one model at a time to get the most efficiency or at least few lines. Since they have 18 models, it maybe difficult to have plan 18 parallel lines running at same capacity.

production. Like I said in my earlier reply, I won't be getting
mine until March 25th.....no biggie. I will be at the Gotham
Comedy Club this Friday checking out the talent and Saturday
I need to setup a surround sound system over at my mom's
apartment and then on Sunday I have to visit some relatives up
in the Bronx who I haven't seen forever therefore I really
wouldn't have any time this weekend to play around with my new
"tech toy" if I had it. Next weekend would be much better for
me so the 25th is actually a good delivery date, besides I still
got a brand new $500 r/c helicopter still in the box waiting for
my attention but I'm waiting for some warm weather up here...d@mn
we have some miserable winters in NY and when it snows Mayor
Bloomberg lets those guys over at sanitation plow all the snow
up against your car so you spend a week trying to dig out. I'm
moving to Florida one day....just wait and see....warm weather,
beaches, and hot bodies!

Ah! Those RCs....world is now full of electric RCs compared to the times I used to fly my fixed wings on my Futaba. Move over to bay area. We are not doing bad here with the weather (except the earthquake scares after Japan). Sorry for being off topic.

Hmmm...I am so old that I don't recall Airtronics. Their website doesn't seem to have a section called "about" to give me more info, though their products look cool. Should we have a little sub-forum for RCs here and discuss how we can control our airplanes/helicopters with the iPad?
