iPad 2 ordered at 1:08am PT. Order status just updated: "prepared for shipment."

You need to call customer care for Apple's online orders. 48 hours is the point at which a red flag can be thrown up within Apple's online order dept. Once you go into, "prepared for shipment" mode a tracking number should be assigned and you should receive a shipment notice email from Apple containing the package's tracking number, which for iPad 2 is FedEx. Call Apple with your original web order number and have them open an inquiry as to your order's status. Politely insist this be done as its now Day 6 (makes this accurate, they know). They'll do it, they're polite, well trained and professional people, they will help shake things loose, so to speak. Be polite, can't stress that enough. The telephone number you call is below as are their hours of operation:

Hours of Operation: Mon - Fri from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.,
or Sat - Sun from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pacific time

So, for those who have received their iPad2's, how long did it take exactly? NOT from the time you ordered, but from the time it was marked shipped??

I ask because my 64GB AT&T 3G/WiFi just went from "Prepared for Shipment" to "Shipped". I checked Tracking and that went from "Waiting for Pickup" to "In Transit". Says it's coming from Shenzen China... and I have a date estimate. My question is, is that date the law? Or did yours com sooner?? Did it take 2 days or 6 days? Please let me know if you wouldn't mind.

Thank you for that! I am going to call as soon as I leave work. I will be extra polite 🙂 and hope against hope they give me a solid answer as best they can. I know they are doing what they can. reading the other post i see that the 16gb 3G AT&T version is the most popular 😟 Hope to see my status change soon. Thanks again for the suggestion.

My 64BG AT&T 3G/WiFi is "In Transit" in China at 7:56PM MST on March 17th.

My Smart Cover has not yet arrived, but if it arrives on schedule then that will be tomorrow.
This is 4 days to go from "In Transit" in China to being delivered in Arizona.

However, the scheduled delivery date of my iPad 2 is the 23rd which is 6 days after going to "In Transit"

Prepared for shipment!
