Windows7 ATI PowerPlay Missing (thus GPU not down-clocking)

Hi suchy101.

For video drivers to my MBP 2011 13" go to Windows Update and you will see that the correct driver is intel(R) HD Graphics Family.

Try to do this.

Hello, after a bit of google, i found that, all you need is download this file then install >> it works perfectly :

http://www2.ati.com/DRIVERS/mobile/11-9_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe

Someone said they found, and posted links, to the ATI 11.10 driver posted in the last 48 hrs.

Try those.

Nvidia also posted new drivers.

And usually the current beta are best. Not always though. Sometimes older is ah, mature and better.

I have a macbookpro 15 which was experiencing the same issue, however, I found a link to a site that provides information and links to the drivers that could help solve your issue.

I have used it and I am now running catalyst 11.10 on my boot camp partition with Windows 7.

Thanks for your reply. I followed all of your instructions but unfortunately still am having the same exact issue. I can't apply the Powerplay setting. In the photo below I checked the box to show you that it won't let me apply the setting. If I close out of CCC and re open it Powerplay will not be enabled. It is also blank for the areas where the power settings should be. Any ideas?

While I'm not sure it's useful regarding Powerplay, I did successfully install all latest AMD graphics drivers onto my 2011 MBP running Win 7 x64. I documented the steps:

I would not recommend any article or link such as to DRIVER SWEEPER which I have used and is fine, but send them to GURU3D, not CNET and not so that a file downloads without clicking.

It looks like a good tutorial and how to though that is much needed. People have tried to provide a step by step before and either wasn't 'universal' enough or drivers and installers change.
