Uncompressed 10bit 4:2:2 on PC?

Hi,

We're using the Quicktime uncompressed 10 bit 4:2:2 as our codec of choice in FCP. Does anyone know where it comes from and if it is possible to put it on a PC machine? We're using a Decklink Extreme card to capture but I've downloaded the PC codecs and its not included there, nor in the latest QT7 release for PC. I'm fairly new to Macs so I don't know if the codec comes from FCP, Decklink, QT or OSX.

Cheers and hope everyone has a great Christmas,
Paul

We had the same problem. We were wanting to render animations in AfterEffects on a PC and import them into our FCP 10-bit uncompressed project. We found that the AJA v210 for 10-bit uncompressed is the same codec, i.e. it does not require rendering when placed into the timeline. Use AJA 2vuy (not 2Vuy) for 8-bit uncompressed.

Download those codecs from http://www.aja.com/support_kona.html. Get the qicktime for windows codec and install it.

Good luck.
