Ouch ignorant? Well many people have not specified their timezones and you said you ordered yours at 1 the first time and I think of it as ordering started where I am at 3 so you don't have to be hating here. We all love mac lets not divide amongst eachother. Also I think it might have to do with how the people ordered either by phone or online, and also the models. Just a guess? 🙂

I think all those waiting for iPad 2s should cancel their orders as a people's revolt to Apple's supply chain failure. Wait for the iPad 3 or buy less expensive iPad 1 - Apple does not understand how to deliver on its hype. It is obvious Steve Job's replacements do not know what they are doing.

Nick, yes, your iPad and mine are hanging out, not realizing how anxious we are for them to get to us lol! My delivery still says 3/18 by 4:30 PM, but I'll feel a lot better about that once it leave Lantau Island!

Hmm.... I wonder how long the status will stay at "prepared for shipment" now. So far, they have been preparing the shipment for 5 hours.

At least I am glad to see all the early order 32GB/64GB 3G AT&T folks are now in the "Prepared for shipment" state. Now we move to the next phase-2 of anxiety. 🙂

Mine is also hanging out at Lantau Island...ALL DAY. It's been sitting there for about 12 hours or so.

I wonder if FedEx just didn't update.

Finally tonight got 'prepared for shipment" at 7:30 PST for white ipad2 64g,3g, AT&T. Ordered 3/11 at 12:49 PST

sahilio; mine was in the prepared for shipment stage for about a day and a half, now its been in HK since at least yesterday morning 3/15. very frustrating. also still have delivery date of 3/18. it would be nice if it is in transit to alaska or somewhere else in the states, if the tracking site would note that.

I would just like to say that i love apple as a company but the way they handled the whole launch of ipad 2 was "awful to say the least" or they dropped the ball. I stood in line for 2 hours only to get nothing. I feel as though allowing 2 per person was not fair for the people near the latter end of the lines. This only allowed idiots to get their own and then one that they put on ebay for ridiculous prices to make a quick buck. The original march 11th release should have been 1 per person limit. The other thing that ****** me off is that i ordered one online when i got home and the next day my shipping time lunged to 3to 4 weeks. What a joke Apple. Ihave saved for a year to buy ipad 2 and when Steve Jobs announced the release for March 11th i felt like a kid in a candy store. Only to be let down by Apple on release day by not having enough in the ppennsylvania area because SOMEONE thought it was a good idea that everybody be allowed to buy 2. If anyone finds out how to stop losing sleep over the inability to provide ipad 2 for its loyal customers please let me know where i can get one NOW!!

Mine too, sahilio...at Lantau Island since 11:55 PM (China time), so almost 12 hours. Since it's almost noon there now, I HOPE it's just that they didn't scan it again when it left and the next update will be when it arrives in the US and clears customs. Wishful thinking!

So according to you they should make 300 million (one for each american) and suffer the consequences of inventory carrying costs.

i agree with you on this one. I stood in line for almost 5 hours just to get to the front and be told sold out, when i ask the worker there if there's any thing left all i was told was we're all sold out but you never know we might have some laying around so i wouldnt leave yet..they just want to keep everyone in line.
but i agree at launch day it should have been to a lime of 1 person. I dont think i'll be as mad if they did that, becuase at lesat you know it's still a fair game everyone all come out with one, but insted it was 2 per person so like you said people were greedy and got 2 one for themself and another to sell. Has anyone seen the price it's going for on ebay?
i live near canada so you can picture how many of them cross over to the US and got their hand on it.
