iPad 2 Shipping

Looking for anyone who orderd any ipad 2 between 8 am and 9 am est/ 5 am 6am pst.
Since all orderes were take prior to the begining of the biz aka 8am friday pst that counts as day one making today officailly day 5. also anyone with a 5-7 day shipping time frame seen any movement.

I ordered mine at 12:43 Pacific time on the 11th. A white 32 gb version
At&T and it shipped today from China. They don't have it coming to
the March 23rd. Ugh.. Be patient Jane..lol

As you know I am also a 11.55 Lantau guy.

It is not as long of a process as you think (usually). My buddy's arrived yesterday, a day early, and his entire trip only took 3-4 days total.

Luckily I believe FedEx delivers on Saturdays as well...I am located in Northern California and am still hoping to get mine by the said 18th (tomorrow).

I think we'll still get it sometime tomorrow, if not, then Saturday seems promising.

I don't know, sahilio. If you read back a bit, you'll see that FedEx told me it would be between the 22nd and 25th--even though the automated system and their website still says tomorrow. I guess the lesson is "wait and see" (not one of my strong suits lol).

What I don't understand is why the 22nd? Doesn't FedEx ship on saturdays?

I am also optimistic on it being a pretty quick process as a bunch of folks even got theirs a day early...How could ours be 3-4 days late? Rather odd...

sahilio, when I called FedEx, I was first transfered to international dept. When she looked at my tracking number, she said "a special team is handling this shipment" and transfered me again. Strange. Maybe call them yourself and see what they tell you (and report back, please. 🙂 )

Well after checking out MacRumors and seeing how long it took folks from Lantau to delivery....you might be right. We may be out of luck in regards to getting it tomorrow.

Arg...all depends on how backed up the computer is and where are iPad 2s really are...

What are the various time frames that were given?

<5 days were the originals, then there is a 5-7 day, and then I know of a 2-3 weeks or was there a 1-2 weeks in there also?

Seems we are on the verge of all the originals showing up. I also wonder if some of the "further outs" have any chance of moving up (or back)?

I think its the 2-3 weeks that have the popular "April 1 ship for April 8 arrival", correct?

Its safe to assume this is based on expected production...there has to be some slippage or gainage in this whole process...

Well I ordered later on launch day so I've got a wahile anyway.

If there is a "gap" in the published expected times what will happen during that delivery gap time? (moot if I missed something and every possible day is represented by a known common expected ship/arrive date).

I bet some geek has organized all this order timestamp/arrival time in a table 🙂

i dont know if you've looked at the plane link, but i believe this is the plane our ipads are on, departed at 8:05 HK time..ect
im hoping if you factor in the time change from alaska where it is set to arrive at 1:07pm today, it will still make it to the mainland, more specifically the east coast HOPEFULLY

Thanks european. I did look at it, and yes, Alaska is four hours earlier than here, so that could be a positive sign. I'm just going by what FedEx told me which is that it won't be delivered till next week (22nd-25th). Maybe she was wrong--I may call them again tonight if it doesn't update before that.
According to that flightaware.com link, it should be arriving in Alaska in the next hour and a half or so...

since fed ex has inferior tracking abilities, on to the next resource: flight logs lol no shame =]

lets hope we all get ours by 4:30 tomorrow!! if not, i will be calling back to complain to fed ex predominantly because i feel like once the ipad leaves the factory and is 'out for shipping' its more fed ex's issue instead of apple. contrary to this message board, we all probably have real lives that are more important than waiting for an ipad, and i would like to insure that the 600 bucks i spent is not hanging out on my front porch, in a fed ex warehouse across town for the night or other such annoying inconveniences.

I have been watching this thread for a couple days. When I ordered it said 3-5 days but by the time I actually processed it had changed to 5-7 Days. My status changed this morning.

Dell Inspiron 700m Notebook Windows XP

I ordered mine at 8:24 est and it says it will be deliver between Tuesday the 22nd and the Tuesday after the 29th. I hope I get it early.
