iPad 2 Shipping

Has anyone that has had their iPad already ship seen it move from Lantau Island, HK? Nothing has changed as far as the ship date or the delivery date, it just has not moved in a day or so.

I concur. UPS updated mine saying it left Anchorage at 6:20 AM local time. This flight seems to fit with that departure scan time. It's scheduled to arrive just after 7pm EDT. Assuming it gets off quickly and goes north fast, I may have hope for mine tomorrow if not Wednesday for sure (usually my packages go from Louisville to West Chester to my door).

I'd count on whatever the estimated delivery date might be. It's rare that packages come early (at least I've not been lucky in that department with any carrier). That's weird it's within driving distance from you and not in your hands right now.

Keep checking the tracking in case they decide to deliver it early. I'm not sure about your neighborhood but I definitely don't want mine hanging out on my porch for hours 😉

Normally that's what I'd do. My package was originally scheduled to ship today, yet it shipped on the 19th. UPS originally slated the delivery date as today but has since removed any estimate. My hope had been for tomorrow but I severely doubt it. It has to land in Kentucky still and then truck up to West Chester (PA) before heading out for delivery. Slight chance yes, but the chips aren't in my favor.

@Sunny California

did you pay for expedited shipping? I'm curious if people who took advantage of the "free" shipping get FedEx or UPS. I don't think I've ever paid for faster shipping with Apple and it's always come FedEx, but with my iPads it was UPS.

I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but when my now "disappeared" delivery estimate slipped by 10 days, I called and complained and got bumped up to expedited shipping for free. UPS gave me a delivery date of by 10:30am today when it left China last week, but that time has since come and gone and I haven't gotten an tracking update since it left Anchorage @ 6:30am their time today. I think Harold Camping must have been moonlighting as a delivery analyist for my package.
