Is 16GB of storage space enough for an Ipad?

I am planning on getting an iPad, and I will like to play simple games like Angry Birds, listen to music, maybe watch a video, and play around with pages, and of course play on the internet.

I can manage my music and videos, but for smaller games and having pages and keynote on the device, is 16gb enough space to work with? I'd like to space a little bit of money on my ipad if possible.

iPad 2, iOS 4

I travel every week and the 64 gb is the best for me. I could use more space in fact. I can store about 40 movies on mine which is great for long flights. London to LA I watched 4 movies and still had 30% on battery. I still have iPad 1. Point is if you are away from home base iTunes for a while then the larger capacity is best. IMO

Since there is a little bit of a wait for the iPad2, I am going to just get the 32gb. It'll give a little more time to get money together and make it easier for all the little things I want with it.

I don't plan on putting my whole music collection on it, I have absolutely too much music. Not to mention that I don't even listen too it. But thank you for the replies. It's really helped me decide.

My advice? Save your money by not getting the 3G model (Wifi only), and spend your money on the biggest hard drive available. Why?

Four Reasons...

1.) Free Wifi: It's everywhere, so unless you need to be online while on the bus or in a taxi, you can probably wait until you get to work/hotel/coffeeshop. Besides, if you really NEED to check your mail or browse the web for something asap, use your Phone.

2.) Apps: Believe it or not, the biggest space hog on MY iPad's 64 GB hard drive is apps. For example, my favorite app, "The Periodic table of elements" is 2GBs alone. And my trusty "American Heritage Dictonary" is 508 MBs. And if you (or your kids) like games, forget it. They average 1.5 GBs each.

3.) Photos: And not just the photos you'll be taking using the iPad 2 camera, but every photo you've ever scanned into your computer. Imagine your wallet and how many pics you'd stuff it with if you could? Who doesn't want photos of your dog as a puppy to show every random strangers on a big 10 inch screen?

4.) Video: And I don't mean purchased TV and movies. I'm talking about how the iPad 2 (and iPhone) work surprisingly well as video cameras. And the last thing you want is to run out of space in the middle of your kid's b-day party.

Of course you can (and should) sync and transfer all this stuff onto your PC as often as possible. But trust me - you'll always have a few favorite apps, pictures, and video that you'll never want to NOT have with you. And that number will only grow over time.

So again, I recommend saving by skipping the 3G model, and spending extra on hard drive size.

I am on the verge of buying an iPad 2 and have been considering which size to go with as well. As someone mentioned, with the 16GB version, you actually only have 14GB available due to iOS system usage.

I plan to use the iPad also for comic reading, and I have over 100GB of comics! Some of the series are over 14GB themselves- and I don't want to have to stop, delete all the read comics and sync new in order to finish the series. 14GB when you think about it isn't really that much if you plan to use this for eBooks, comics, music, movies, and apps. So I believe I will bite the bullet and go for the 32GB version- because I'd rather spend the extra $100 to be sure that I'll have enough space so I don't have to resync all the time.
