iPhone 4 - ios 4.3 - Battery Drain

Hello all,
I've upgraded my iPhone4 to IOS 4.3.
After doing so, I've done a full charge (after it completely drained). I unplugged it at 10:00 AM today and by 16:00 the battery was down to 50% (with basically no usage during the day).
I have push, bluetooth, wi-fi, Hotspot, Location Service disabled. I also disabled Ping on iTunes, re-sync the phone and done the Restrictions > Disable Ping.
It is still draining a lot of battery as none of these above solved the problem.
What can I do? The phone is going to be 2 months old...

Was shocked at home my battery was down to about 28% at the end of day two. Thought perhaps I forgot to charge my battery. After a full charge, at the end of day one it was about 50%. Something was seriously wrong. Was never like that in the past.

And I'm not a heavy user. Barely any phone calls. A few SMSes perhaps. Few minutes on Facebook now and then. A bit of Safari at times. That's my typical daily usage. Let's not talk about times when I get lost and use my GPS!

Oh and I turn off my phone when I go to bed. A full charge used to last 3 to 4 days but now its scary!

After much reading on various forums, I disabled Ping and ensured the hotspot was off (apparently mine was off by default). Did a full charge last night before going to bed and turning off the phone.

Was 100% this morning. Is now 78%. Will be interesting to see what it will be like tomorrow night. Before I disabled Ping, it was almost flat by the end of day two.

Update:
1. By the end of the day yesterday, my battery was down to 30%. Bottom line - none of the solutions presented at this and other forums were unable to help me.

So I'm down to just waiting for Apple to help me out by releasing a new update. Until then, keep bugging Apple to do something about it at this link - http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

This issue has perplexed me all week. I tried the suggestions to turn off Ping and also disabled wi-fi, bluetooth and reduced the frequency of mail checking. None of these actions seemed to plug the black hole into which my power was seemingly draining. Then I came across a suggestion that has worked:

Ensure the phone is 100% charged and then do a sync in iTunes (I hadn't done a sync since the update to ios 4.3). Voila. After 18 hours of light use I still have 60% of charge. That's a whole lot better than getting down to 60% in just 6 hours with virtually no usage.

I'm having the same experience. Much quicker battery drain since upgrading to 4.3 and I've noticed this with my wife's iPhone as well.

We both have an iPhone 4 and we haven't installed any new apps since the upgrade. We have installed updated versions of many of our apps.

I've turned on the hotspot (AT&T) but have only used it sparingly. I also use bluetooth.

My wife doesn't use Hotspot or Bluetooth. In fact she used to only charge her phone about ever 2 or 3 days. Now, she has to put it on the charger every afternoon.

This bug is very annoying.

I also have this problem, but with the following annoyance.

I use an alarm app that runs overnight. Before this update, I could plug in and leave the app running. In the morning, i would naturally have a full 100% battery when I unplugged.

Since the update, EVEN PLUGGED IN overnight, my battery still drains !
How does that work, the battery drains whilst plugged in ??

Apple, sort this out, pronto please...

Hi

I had the same problem specially after carrying out the last update 4.3 the battery was draining very fast y. In addition to that the phone freezing initially for few minutes then for almost a day and finally continuously.

I did almost every thing but replacing the handset and non worked.

As a final attempt to fix the problem before I replace the unit and get a new one was to

1. connect the phone to the my computer (Mac)
2. Launch iTunes
3. Restore the phone to factory setting (with the 4.3) upgrade.

Of course I lost every thing my contacts all of my apps and phone settings. But it worked it has been two days now the phone didn't freeze and the battery life is even better than before.

Note:

1. All of my contacts, note, calendar, emails were backed up using my company exchanger
2. Before restoring I listed all of the apps that were installed and I reinstalled them one by one all over again.

Try this solution and I hope it works with you.

According to the internet it is caused by Ping. I am testing that right now. Basically go in to restrictions and restrict Ping..That is what I know...I have seen the same thing except when I turn off all notifications and Push and location services and signed out of the store and then saw only 5% loss in 12 hrs which is about right...Hope 4.3.1 comes out soon.
