Skype on IPad 2

Has anyone tried the Skype App from ITunes on the IPad 2?

In ITunes the app shows up available for the IPhone but when you read the description, it says it is for the IPad as well. However, it does not show up on the IPad app list.

Am I missing something?

Can you read what people said in thread above? YES you can! User uploaded file

But in stretch mode. Means screen will be small iPhone size, if you will press 2x than it become full screen but ugly stretched.

Hopefully the folks at Skype will have a supported version for us soon !!

I'm looking to buy my mom an iPad 2 so we can easily communicate over Skype.

She's hard of hearing and we plan on doing video chat and text chat at the same time. Is that currently possible on the iPhone version (running on an ipad2) of Skype?
