i've tried rebooting several times and no luck. its looking for a dvd. tried holding down the shift key to get to safe mode but that didn't work either. it wants the mac os dvd i guess but i cant find mine.
You can try holding down the OPTION key after the startup chime to evoke the boot manager. If your OS X volume appears then select it and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
If no OS X volume appears then it would seem you've installed Linux on your boot volume. In this case you will have to repartition and reformat the drive then reinstall OS X.
