booting linux from a dvd

i had my mac boot to a linux dvd now how to i get back to the mac os snow leopard.

imac, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

You can try holding down the OPTION key after the startup chime to evoke the boot manager. If your OS X volume appears then select it and click on the downward pointing arrow button.

If no OS X volume appears then it would seem you've installed Linux on your boot volume. In this case you will have to repartition and reformat the drive then reinstall OS X.
