Maintenace routines in Snow Leopard

I know in past version of Mac OS X, there were daily, weekly, and monthly routines run in the middle of the night. There were nice free apps out there like MacJanitor that was an easy to use interface just to run those and didn't bloat out to anything else.

Does Snow Leopard still run those? Is there a way to use Terminal to run those?

Does Console list when those were last run?

As to your question about mine running on time:
My weekly logs run every Saturday.
My monthly logs are running on the 1st day of the month.

This is also verified on my wife's computer.

So, it seems it is day specific, but not time specific. So, if your computer is turned on on the 1st of the month, then your monthly log should run.

Hope that clears it up for both of us.

I thought I would let you know, since April 1st was the start of the month, I left in sleep mode and then Montly scripts ran. It appears, then, that if you leave your mac off at the time the scrips (daily, etc) should have run, they won't. But, if your Mac is in sleep mode, it WILL run upon waking.

Anyway, just wanted to report back about the scripts.
