Adobe Updater launches each time I boot

I use Little Snitch to control who or what wishes to get on the Web without my asking and it is Adobe Updater that is always the first to ask. I have CS4 installed and Acrobat Reader but have disabled auto update - still it launches. How can I stop this? I know I saw mention of this a while ago but cannot find it now.

The Welcome screen in all of the Adobe apps also phones home when they launch. If you click the "Don't show again" checkbox, it stops. However, I use the Welcome screen in Illustrator and InDesign for quick access to recent files, so I set up Little Snitch to prevent them from connecting at all. Adobe, along with a lot of other companies, need to get it though their thick corporate skulls that just because someone buys and installs their software, that doesn't give them the right to invade users' privacy and send all sorts of information back to their servers. Adobe is one of the worst for doing that.

Thanks for this comment, I'd been getting very cheesed off with this - that it is was always the FIRST thing that opens when I boot into my computers, no matter what else might need my attention, or be a problem, Adobe would be expecting access to the Web.
Given that I am in Australia where Adobe charges double (even with dollar parity) for each of its applications, I was beginning to feel very angry.
Thanks to Little Snitch I can stop this
