MacBook Pro 13" Mid-2010 Firmware Restore CD?

I cannot find the correct Firmware Restoration CD to download for the MacBook Pro 13" Mid-2010 (MacBookPro7,1). Does anyone know if there is one available.

Last night I attempted to install the MacBook EFI Firmware Update 2.0. The power cable was attached but now it is stuck in a loop. When booted first it sounds the 9 beep SOS error. Then it displays the gray firmware upgrade screen. The progress bar moves quickly across (just a few seconds) and the system reboots. It starts up again with the 9 beep SOS error and the whole process repeats.

I was hoping I could download a Firmware Restoration CD to repair this. If anyone knows where to find it, please let me know. I also have an appointment at the Genius Bar this evening in case I can't find a solution on my own. Thanks for your help.

wadyasha that post is almost 2 years old. I would figure the op has moved on. 😁

Start a new topic with your issue. There is no firmware restoration cd. As eww said to the op "Leave it to the Genius. Start mucking around yourself, and you may put the machine into some anomalous state that the Genius can't get it out of."
