Import song from GarageBand into iMovie on iPad.

I'm sad because I can't seem to find a way to get a song I made in GarageBand on iPad into iMovie on iPad without going through a computer.

They should really implement this! I want to be able to take a beat I make in GarageBand and import it into iMovie and create a video and upload to YouTube etc. Without the use of a computer.

Any ideas? Maybe future update?

Unfortunately apple did nothing in the new os to address this issue. But I don't think it's an OS problem. It's using iTunes and the iPod-like storage of audio on the iPad that's creating the problem. Make it possible to either save directly from garage band to the iPad's music library or allow Garage Band to save to a completely different, but shared folder with iMovie.

Question: Do the Apple support folks read this? It sure doesn't seem like it and if not then this forum is a total waste of our time. Does anyone know how to contact Apple directly to submit suggestions for improving their apps? I think other, non-Apple, app developers do this...and actually respond by making updates to address user suggested improvements.

Hey folks. The newest update for iMovie solves this problem. When using Garage Band on your iPad, you can now choose to save to iMovie. The music is automatically inserted into whatever iMovie project you're working on. The only problem now is that the music doesn't show up as a music file... it just gets inserted into an iMovie project. Not ideal since I would like to be able to get the music myself as a file and insert it where I want and move it around but at least it's possible to get the music without connecting to another computer's iTunes or Mskvns email solution (which I didn't even try since the new iMovie handles it now.

Good work Apple but please keep working on it... Saving "directly" into the iTune library on the iPad would be a fantastic improvement since iMovie would be able to import the saved music when and where you want it.
