Mighty Mouse won't connect after 10.6.7 update

I updated my Macbook to 10.6.7 this morning and almost straight away I started having intermittent connection problems. First I disconnected the mouse and attempted to re-connect but no dice. Then I deleted the Bluetooth pairing and tried to re-pair only to get the following message:

"The pairing attempt was unsuccessful. This configuration of Mac OS X and Bluetooth software could be invalid or unsupported."

The Macbook is less than a year old and the mouse probably only about 6 months. My wireless keyboard doesn't seem to have any issues. I can't believe I'm the only person having this problem!

I have had this issue pop up prior to and after the OS upgrade. 27" iMac i3. I have reset the PRAM and it came back. Now it went away again. Not that this is much help, but the PRAM fix works, but are we really expected to do that every time the mouse won't pair, or the Bluetooth takes a vacation? Come on Apple, fix this. The Magic Mouse is cool, but thank God I've got an old USB mouse that I can use to function. This is bush league.

Tried the suggestions here and in other forums, but they don't seem to work. My Microsoft Bluetooth 5000 is paired with my Macbook (running 10.6.7) but it does not detect the device when it is turned on.

I have to constantly remove and re-install the bluetooth setup for the mouse in order to get it to work. Then it works for a while and stops (usually after a reboot or going to sleep). It was working on earlier versions of OS X but does not seem to with 10.6.7.

Really at a loss. Got the bluetooth mouse to free up the USB ports (since there are only 2). Now it looks like a wasted purchase (to make things worse, this is a replacement bluetooth mouse, after the first one died a more "natural" death).

Any help / advice would be appreciated.

Same problem here, but mine started right after 10.6.5 was installed in November of 2010. My Apple Bluetooth Mighty Mouse and Apple Wireless Keyboard are no longer immediately connected after start-up. Sometimes it takes five minutes of trying and then they will finally connect. I have to use my track pad and go to the Bluetooth drop down menu and click connect, over and over and over. There used to be no delay whatsoever, they were just automatically connected after start-up. Here it is June of 2011 and this is still not fixed. This is getting really old.

About three years ago I remember doing an update and after that my Mighty Mouse would suddenly just lose connection while using it. Lots of other people had the same issue. It took Apple about 4 1/2 months to fix that one.

I do not understand why Apple allows these problems to continue to persist for so long. I have tried everything that has been mentioned in this thread to try and fix this. Nothing works. I have used Google and searched countless times trying to find a fix with no luck. Will Apple ever fix this??? What am I going to have to do to get this fixed? Buy a new computer?

I absolutely love Apple products and don't miss Windows at all, but I have gotten to where I almost don't want to install any of Apple's updates. Twice now it has messed up Bluetooth connectivity for months at a time with no end in sight this latest time. Thanks Apple.
