Same here - whether music or an app, on the Mac or an iPod touch. I've disconnected and reconnected our network connection and relaunched the site multiple times. I've logged-in successfully with my Apple ID in this same period, so that's not the issue. Seems very much like a major iTunes store failure. Hope we get an answer and (more importantly) a solution soon.
