I have just been using Snow Leopard about a week now. To have a clean install of Snow Leopard I reinstalled it. I am able to change my password (did just now) but it has my account set to Automatic Login and that screen is all grayed out. How do I turn off the automatic login so I am prompted to login with my password?
My goal I should state is when the MacBook Pro is idle for a set time and the screen saver kicks in, to have it require my password to log back on. Can I do this?
Okay some progress. Saw a lock icon on bottom left of screen in an apparent locked position. Clicked on it to show the icon as unlocked and was able to disable automatic login.
Now remaining question is when screen saver kicks in, will I be prompted to enter my password to log back in now?
Exactly! Thank you so much. I've got some tutorials to go through and will learn much over time but a few things I hoped I could do by posting here and once again a fellow (more experienced) member came through.
