Can u format text in Memo and other apps?

Question

Can u format text in Memo and other apps?

I want to underline a word and bold another while typing in the Memo pad app. Can't find a format menu. Is ther one?

Do you mean the Notes app? If so, there's no formatting apart from changing font (in Settings, Notes).

There are other apps that support formatting

Yes. Sorry for the confusion, I meant Notes app. So we can't bold, underline or use italics in the Notes app?

What about Apple Mail? We ca on our Mac computer, just not the iPad version of Mail?

I'm sure I ca in Pages, but haven't checked yet.

Yes you can format text in Pages as you described. There are tools at the top right corner that allow formatting, font changes, and so on.

No you can not format text in the Mail app either with the built in keyboard anyway. It is what it is. I'm not sure if a Bluetooth keyboard would allow you to do that, but I think the formatting is tied to the software, so my assumption would be that it would not work that way either.

I formatted a few words in Pages and did a C&P with the text into a mail message. It reverted to the basic Helvetica Regular font.
