Your Apple ID has been disabled

iTunes is updated and works fine and I am able to log onto my account. When I go to purchase a song, I get the error message "Your Apple ID has been disabled". I've tried different methods: changing passwords, making a new account with another email address, and emailing itunes tech support. I am curious as to how many others have been experiencing the same issue. When I googled the error, it seemed like it was happening extremely often with many people.
We all love their products, but they always come with a lot of issues and horrible customer support.

My Iphone 4 is telling me the same thing and I believe I figured out what the problem is. I had some fraudulent charges on my itunes account, so I call my bank and disputed the charges. Right after I did that, I started getting the message "Your apple ID has been disabled." I just realized today that the charges are not fraudulent, they are "in app purchases." One of my daughters downloaded the game Top Girl which is FREE, but in the game Top Girl you use money in the game to purchase things. It just so happens that the money you use to purchase things is real money MY Money!!!. My daughter thought she was using play money in the game and had no idea she was using real money. She spent $106.00 buying stuff. Now I have to call the bank and tell them to release the hold and pay Itunes. I'm hoping this solves the problem. Here is the link to learn how to disable "in app purchase" on your iphone or ipad.

Pilgramlad had it down. After multiple times with this issue I FINALLY called Applecare and just hit 0 until I got a live person. I explained the situation and he contacted iTunes directly with a chat line and they were unable to unlock the account. Now everything is all good. Just keep calling until you get someone nice enough to get it done for you.

I have an Iphone 4. Apple disabled my Apple ID when I questioned a yearly subscription fee from The Daily web newspaper. Apple to their credit did refund my money & stopped the subscription. I tried everything including resetting password, updating settings, Icloud, everything. The ONLY solution is to call AppleCare at 800-694-7466 & ask to speak to the Account Security Team. A nice person named Natalie who is is Account Security Advisor corrected the problem in 30 seconds. Why is a product so simple in use have such a complicated support system? Its not the Apple techs fault of course but why is it impossible to give us a phone number to contact a live person?

What a frustrating experience!! My account was hacked, they disabled my Apple ID, I spent HOURS online trying to figure it out.....resetting my passwords, resetting security questions, you name it I did it and nothing helped until I saw a post that said to call the Apple Care 800-694-7466, spoke to a very helpful lady who had it up and running in 7 minutes! If your apple ID has been disabled just call this number, problem solved!
