App to upgrade on Mac App Store with email that is not mine

Hello to everyone,

I have an update of a free app on Mac App Store called "Itsy". However, i never install that app through Mac App Store or by other means! When i try to install it through Mac App Store i can't do it and Mac App Store ask me for the password of the following email " **@**.de"! This email it is not mine and i don't know how i get it! I buy my new MacBook Pro last week on an Apple Store! Anyone can tell me how i solve it? Or i should make a fresh install?

fmiguel, I have the same problem. Itsy is appearing as an update and clicking on it asks for the account of the .de email.

I did not purchase/download Itsy through the App Store.
I did download it some months ago, used for a few minutes and deleted it (including the library files/folders it created).

What is happening, why is that .de email account appearing?

Looks like you guys are running a cracked copy of someone else's appstore purchase. It's possible that the security credentials for another app where pasted into something else you are running and the appstore sees it with the original certificate, thinking you have that software installed with that users account assigned to it.

Like i described above i have the same problem. I bought my mac last week and i *NEVER NEVER used or install Itsy app on this mac*. Beside, Itsy is a free app so, i NEVER cracked it!

Here is how i solve my problem. Because i migrate all apps from another mac using Time Machine backup, i think the problem was there. So, i made a fresh install and the Itsy upgrade from Mac App Store disappear!

Another thing i notice that on Apple Logo menu, when i upgrade using my Time Machine backup appear a submenu called "Location" for networks. With my fresh install it disappear. However, i don't know if it is related with allowing to locate me on "Time Zone" on "Date & Time Preferences"!

Regards

I know itsy is free, that is probably why they (the crackers) used it's "free" certificate to blank out a "purchased" one on a different application, but it still has the app information somewhere in it, and the app store is seeing that. Look for recently installed apps, and try to remove them one by one, I bet it disappears on one of them. If I'm wrong then just time machine your applications directory back. I'm almost 100% sure this is the problem.

@moebis tell me one thing. I admit that on other mac i used FaceTime 1.0 app downloaded from a website. However, this mac is new and i just upgrade it from a Time Machine backup. When i restart my mac, FaceTime was 1.0.2 not 1.0! Do you think that some information from FaceTime 1.0 stay in my mac even FaceTime was upgraded to 1.0.2? I removed FaceTime 1.0.2 with AppDelete (I bought it 🙂 ) but this problem persist! I just solve my problem making a fresh install. However, it is strange because, if it was a problem of Mac App Store, my problem shouldn't disappear, but the fact is that it really disappear! But i have another question. If it was a problem from FaceTime 1.0, why when i delete FaceTime using AppDelete this problem don't disappear?
