I got the first iPad for the Christmas in 2010. Then, knowing apple, they came out with the iPad 2. My friend told me that if my iPad was within the year long warranty that I could return it and get the iPad 2 and pay the extra cost. Fortunately, the iPad 2 doesn't cost any more so I wouldn't have to pay anything. I would like to know if this is true or not?

You have 14 days from date of purchase to return it to apple. You can sell it on gazelle.com for a fair price.

You'll have better luck if you spell that gazelle.com. I sold my iPad 1 16GB Wifi only to Gazelle and got $375. But I did that the moment (literally) the iPad 2 was announced. Right now, you won't get nearly that much. But you'll get something.
**** I can't spell. Took me three times to get it right.

Knowing Apply? because they are always finding ways to improve... It was kind of expected that a new version was going to be introduced especially since alot of other competitors are trying their hand in the tablet market. Technology and electronics are ALWAYS changing. I guess you could have gone to Bestbuy. I think they have a buy back program now since newer versions are always coming out.
Okay well it was worth a try! Thank you for answering my question. One more thing.... In your guys opinion should I sell my old iPad and buy the new one or just keep the original one?
Unless you have a really pressing need to use Facetime on the larger screen and take and edit videos, I would stick with what you have.
Old iPad trade in????
