Which cameras are compatible with iPad 2 and iMovie ?

Hi,

Let's start a thread to help users figure out which HD cameras are compatible or not compatible with the iPad 2 with iMovie for a truly portable and convenient video editing solution. I'm only interested in cameras that work with iMovie on the iPad 2 without ever using a desktop or laptop.

My Canon T2i HD video 720p or 1080p video is not compatible. It won't even play on the iPad, but it does import into a grey box.

As a side note, a review on slash gear of the iPad 2 claims that the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2 imports into iMovie via the camera connection kit. Has anyone been able to do the same with your GF2?

Thanks,

GP

The new Galaxy Camera is NOT compatible with iMovie. It does play in Quicktime, but when imported into iMovie you lose picture/sound sync. If you still have the old Flip editing software you can import the files into that and it will edit without losing sync.

I tried exporting from my Galaxy Camera into Flip software, then downloading onto my desktop... and then uploading into iMovie... but I still lost picture/sound sync.
