ipad 2
Deggie look at the website so that you can see it - that would help....look at the cruxloaded that way you can see it - that is what im testing out right now....
I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link.
<Edited by Host>
Im not receiving any compensation for my post - im just a person who found a solution due to i spend hours of my life with a computer !! Im just sharing the information that I found. Geez how does a host change your words around for the love of God!! What is happening to this world...SMDH!!
Not saying you are receiving compensation, but this thread was not about cases and keyboards, it was about making a mouse (or trackpad in the other thread) work with an iDevice (iPad in this case) runing iOS. The case you are mentioning is not a "solution" to this problem. There is no track pad or mouse pointer to be controlled in iOS. The case looks really nice and sturdy though.
Well Im glad that I have a life outside of policing a Apple Support Community board. To everyone else my apologies if I was not helpful in answering your question with my 2 cents!
I am too, hope it is a full and productive one. I also have one away from here but your posts were incorrect and I didn't want to let it stand lest someone pay a lot of money for that case and then say, "That Karla4257 is a complete PITA and made me waste my money". As part of that outside life I suggest you seek anger management counseling. And yes, I knew what your acronym above meant.
I did, looks like a very good case, but I did not see any trackpad on it. I am curious how responsive is the keyboard? I like all the permutations for use as a stand.
But this does not change the fact that there is no way to use a trackpad or a mouse with iOS UNLESS it is jailbroken and then the appropriate drivers are installed. iOS devices are not designed for use with a mouse or a trackpad. Unless Apple changes the design of iOS they just won't work.
Have no issues with the case though.
I went to the website and I didn't see a trackpad either. I think that you are pulling our leg on this one.
UPDATE -
I found the one with a BT trackpad. It's called the Cruxloaded. But haven't read enough to know if it requires jailbreaking the iOS device.
OK, from the surfing on the Cruxloaded, I think that Karla is misrepresenting the touchpad's ability. It doesn't work with iOS, it works with remote desktop apps on the iPad to run a Mac or PC, whose OSes are mouse driven. That's a whole 'nother ballgame.
My good friend Dah-veed is correct, until iOS supports a pointer nothing will work. Take some advice and don't waste the time with Jail Breaking either, you won't be satisfied. Yes, the mouse will work but not like you would expect. It almost just acts like your finger and not much better, can't place the cursor in the middle of a word to alter or highlight, not good with a spread sheet, no second buttton functionality, not at least with BT Stack Mouse app anyway. I would recommend trying one before you go through the trouble. You may love it, I did not. I would like nothing more to be able to use my iPad for more productive things but unsure if Apple will help out with that anytime soon. I have a new mbpro that usually gets used for most things, the ipad for lightweight things unfortunately. Planning to check out the new MS Surface for the office. Wish you guys the best, I feel your pain...
Look towards the end of the description and you'll see that the Cruxloaded is still "in development". It's been listed as such for over a year now. And will probably remain that way until if and when Apple ever does give the iPad mouse support.
Hey guys, it doesnt mean that the ipad is a touchscreen it no longer need a mouse, what if his reason asking this question is for gaming, like in modern combat 3 first person its quite disadvantage when playing to other player whos using an android that can use a mouse on there tablet that cam aim much faster than you can without a mouse. And if you late to hit them your dead.. And thats the reason why im here as well.. Please analize

Wow how lame, my post was removed for saying the dreaded "J" word! I got sent the link for something stupid about stability issues. Yeah sure ok.
Anyway the mouse has its place. Even though Apple chooses to try and force you into touch only interface which does not work well for all business applications such as Citrix and remote desktop there are other solutions out there. Citrix is much better to use virtual desktop with a mouse.
The consumers should have the option to use only touch screen or mouse if they so desire. I like flexibility and flexibility and Apple does not fit in the same sentence. You either like the products as is or you choose another solution. The best of both worlds is touch or mouse, that's why touch screen monitors and all-in-one pcs are popular with many users. They have freedom and choice.
What I choose to do with my device and how I choose to use it is up to me and me alone. That's the way it should be. Don't tell me how I "HAVE" to use it, I will tell you how I'm going to use it. It's the users and consumers world.

So how did you enable a mouse to use with Citrix Virtual desktop for the iPad?
FYI: You can enable an iPhone to be used as a mouse wtih Citrix for ipad.

Are they? Can't say I have ever seen one anywhere except at Best Buy a few years ago.

Yet you still chose an iPad so you like flexibility but don't want it (since Apple does not offer it).
You either like the products as is or you choose another solution.
So you must like their product (at least the iPad)...

Okay. You have the option to use the iPad any way you want. Apple does not have to make it work every way possible.
For whatever reasons, Apple has decided to not enable have a mouse for it.

If Pskeens is anything like myself, he/she weighed the pros and cons and decided the iPad was overall the better choice in spite of its limitations. Which is not to say we don't wish Apple would address these limitations.
