Verizon iPhone unable to make or receive calls

Hello everyone, my Verizon iPhone is intermittently unable to make or receive calls (yes I do have reception). Has anyone experienced this before? I've called Verizon customer service and they were no help and suggested replacing the device at the apple store which I did. Verizon tech support ended up saying they would look into my issue with the network team, and contact me, which they never did. Apple sort of suggested it's a Verizon issue, and was not going to replace it for that reason, until I told them my battery was dieing quick too (luckily I had a screenshot of usage). So they're kinda blaming eachother- and I'm stuck in the middle with no support/help. I've tried ALL of the troubleshooting procedures. Do you think it's a Verizon or iPhone problem? What should I do?

One reason I think it's a Verizon issue is, I've had 2 iPhones that had the same problem- what are the chances of that? One reason I believe it's a Apple iPhone issue is because ALL of the Verizon phones in my household work perfectly all the time, except mine. Again it's intermittent, which is why I recorded videos.

Where are you physically located? I wonder if there are any "weird" coverage issues. It sounds like the phone is in kind of a search mode for cell towers or something. I've seen a number of situations with VZW phones where unusual coverage situations ( say some type of inbuilding solution) can cause unusual issues.

Mine, I can't make or receive calls at or around home. I have to be somewhere, where I have 4-5 bars of reception for it to work 100%. I've never had this issue with Verizon in 7+ years, and also all the Verizon phones work fine in or around the house (5 Verizon phones in the house). Just mine doesn't, which I find very odd. That is why I thought it was an iPhone issue earlier.

I have the same issue and I agree! I am almost certain it's a Verizon issue, I traveled from GA ( home) to (VA) for work then all of a sudden I noticed I have data no problem but I can't send or receive text or phone calls. Verizon is giving me the runaround!! Other i-phone4's up here on Verizon are ok but mine running the 10.1 carrier is screwed, but others with a 9.5 old carrier firmware have no issues! Any thoughts or solutions?! I have had to do resets out the wazoo like Verizon techs told me to but still no solutions!

Dang it! Was working fine for a couple days... Now today- everytime I pick up an incoming call (it is ringing now), it says "call failed" instantly.

Not exactly the same issue,but after I ugpraded my wife's iphone to iOS5, it was not receiving call - would go rignt to voice mail. Turning off Wifi fixed the problem - it's clearly a bug - others are reporting it.

Dis you ever get this issue resolved? I'm having the exact same problem and no one at Verizon or Apple can seem to figure it out.

Was wondering if anyone has found an answer. I have the exact problem....in fact I could have written the original post! The only thing that I have in common with my two phones (original and replaced one) besides the carrier Verizon is the phone number. I have no idea why it should matter, but has any one considered or actually changed their number? I am thinking of it, but being a real pain in the rear have been putting it off.

Any ideas on this!
