Tethering: How can I use my iPad to access Internet from MacBook

Hey,

I have a 3G iPad and want to access the internet from my MBP using the iPads 3G connection. Unlike the iOS for iPhone the iPad does not offer tethering. Why? Is there any solution? I have an iPhone 2G with a slow 2 G connection and wouldn´t need a new phone since i mainly access the internet with my iPad or MB.

Any ideas? Thanks folks,

Eric

Sorry, there is no way to make the iPad share its internet connection with another device.

AT&T doesn't want it... Apple complies by not enabling it in the iOS. Simple as that...

But that would hardly explain why all the other iPads in the world can't do it, either. Also, I've never heard an official explaination from any of the parties involved.

My comments about speculation were also in reference to how easy it might be to change the programming for other carriers.
