mac does not recognize blackberry

I have been trying to synchronize my blackberry with mac but it has not been possible since the mac does not recognize the blackberry when I plug it in; I have already downloaded the proper software to synchronize them, but as I said before the mac book pro does not recognize the device.

any suggestions?

Hi jekill1. I had the same issue with the new MBP early 2011. I installed the desktop software from blackberry and it wouldn't recognize my blackberry even though it was plugged in. Apparently, the new MBP boot in 64bit and the bb software doesn't seem to like that. Try booting with the 32 bit kernel and then plug in your blackberry, worked for me.

Check this article to boot with the 32 bit kernel.
