Help! Problems with both Canon MF4400 and MX860!

I'm trying in vain to have a nice clean setup with both these printers, however they're both providing problems.
I have a TP-Link N300 modem/router, and I want to plug both printers in via ethernet so that they are shared throughout the network.
Problems:
Canon ImageClass MF4400 shows as connected to the router, but I cannot for the life of me find drivers for it. Mac OS X won't connect to it; I have all drivers installed that came on the disk and frequently update them.
Canon Pixma MX860 doesn't show as connected. I have drivers so that isn't an issue, but the port's light on the router isn't showing up. I've gone into the printer's LAN settings area and tried to activate the wired LAN (and wireless for that matter). Nothing works!!
Really driving me crazy - help is greatly appreciated!
