Thanks a million for your tip. And how did you replicate ... jhaw wrote:.... Can you do both from within the iPad?
Thanks. Not on an iPad!
The new iBackFlip Somersault is really the best case/backpack/sling on the market right now for the iPad. Just came out, and it's the only handsfree option. Video: http://youtu.be/EucwI8AhKGo?hd=1
Either I feel unusually strongly about iPad 2 cases, or people wouldn't know a good case if it bit them on the ...
Well, Let's break this down:
There are cases that:
I) Look good (form)
II) Protect well (function)
III) Don't complicate the product /or/ Make the product easier to use (Usability)
Normally, in the world of iPad 2 cases, when you increase one area you also decrease another.
e.g. Heavy duty cases are hideous and don't wrap-around, making for a brick with a touch screen;
Super thin pretty designed cases are worth as much as dirt - for that is the same level of protection they offer;
Cases or accessories that focuse on a facilitation usually don't excell in the other areas (or cover them at all).
Yes, it's a grim market. Right off the bat - if you get yours iPad 2 case in a store, you got a bad case.
Second, and last of all - is there a product that combines all three categories into perfect case-y goodness?
Yes there is! I bought it as my first case,and I can list at least 15-20 reasons why it's better than [insert your case here]
The company goes by the name of Maroo.
Their prices range from $50-$100. Their designs are (fairly) nice. Though I will admit, some are questionable.
But is is :
I) Good Looking (Form) - check
II) Patent-pending secure - (Function) - check
[I mean, the way they secure the iPad into the book-style case literally makes me unable to use any other. I bought a second case from them today just to shake up my design. I'd been searching for a different one. I just can't do it. There is no better.]
III) Easy, full-access; with angle adjustability for propping-up and perfect keyboard orientation - (Usability) - check
So.
Go.
Now,
Google "Maroo iPad 2 case"
You can thank me later.
Lots of great suggestions here. I personally like the Yoobao iSlim leather case. It is indeed the thinnest leather case for iPad 2, and still has the hibernation and magnetic functions. The build quality is impeccable and it looks very professional. I have been using it for over 3 months and no compliants.

I have been searching for a few weeks in stores and online and I think I have just found the perfect case (for me) :-) What I like about it:
- Smart cover
- Portrait and landscape viewing angles
- Colorfrul design
The only drawback I see so far is that it does not have a handstrap.
For iPad 2 leather cases, I narrowed down to these 3 websites:
Given my budget of $100, I just bought the Speck MagFolio Luxe one for my friend. Sena Cases and Cases for Guys have cheaper options.
@iron_lady
I would suggest you look at the iBackFlip also. It does way more then the Speck and Sena Cases:
This is a very personal choice, so there is no right answer, but here are a few of my cases and those I've seen at work:
Otterbox Reflex Series Hybrid Case
Griffin Survivor Heavy Duty Case
These are going up in price in a couple of days to $119.95, they are only $99.95 on pre-order right now. Simply the best iPad case, bag, backpack, you will ever need: http://ibackflip.com
Is there a case for the ipad2 or new iPad nearly like the original iPad black case? I like how you can put your forefinger in between the front and back cover when using as this provides a good way to hold the iPad. Any help would be appreciated.
I had this case for my Fire and recently purchased the "New Ipad" version. Only $20 bucks on Amazon for a legit, professional-looking case with a quality build.
Any of these nice cases you guys mentioned on sale now? And will they fit the new iPad?
