Best iPad 2 cases?

I am looking or a good iPad 2 case. I am thinking of the hard candy candy note or belkin's verve folio or grove bamboo case. Recommendations?

Mac Book Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.7), 13-inch, 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB 1066MH, 160GB Serial ATA, SD card slot

Since I can't remove my post I want to follow up on it.

Portenzo's cases are marvelous but I clearly had a slightly funky one... I saw a co-worker's case and it was so very much like mine but, as I wrote, mine was a little off. Portenzo came back to me, offered to send me out a new case international express to replace the one I have or refund my money and let me keep the off-one. No way - the more I use it, the more I like it so I took the replacement.

It's a really fantastic case - materials and finish are neigh-perfect. Alas, we're all human and boo-boos hit the best of us. Portenzo is a bit of a victim of their own success, with their response time to letters is running a week now, but if something is amiss they certainly went the extra mile…and then some.

Highly, highly recommended.

Is this case heavy, I carry it in my purse and the smart cover provided no protection and iPad 2 got dumped on it's corner and is slighty ruined. So now I'm in the market for a solid cover that protects it's corners. But I need it soonest and the portenzo doesn't seem to be shipping for two weeks. I was looking at the Incipio feather ultralight Hard Shell Case and the clear case seems not to be in stock at the moment. This is irritating, wish Apple provided a better cover.

Quick question for Alan and other Portenzo owners - how well is your case built?

I just got mine and generally I love it, but there are problems: The frame is glued-in slightly crooked so it doesn't fold-back squarely and that means the spine doesn't lay square against the frame. Also, the front flap barely covers the frame - it looks short or the spine is pulling it back. I have to dig into the volume cutout to open the case.

Does your front flap overlap the frame like the back cover does? Or is it short and unsquare too?

If Apple would make the Apple iPad case they had for the first gen iPad with the smart cover functionality, I'd get it in a heartbeat. I liked that case. It held up very well.

The new Apple smart cover is good, too. I have a couple of them, but it's nice to have a case that the cover is attached to the back piece and not coming off.

This is just a tip: Rather than posting such a long URL, you can either...

1) Post the product's shorter Permalink: On the product's page, click on the Share link on the right and then copy & paste the Permalink:

or 2) Create a text link by selecting the text in your post and clicking on this Insert Link icon:

...then your text would be clickable like this: CaseCrown on Amazon. In a similar way, it's also possible to create an image link (via the Camera & Insert Link icons) like this:

I am looking for a case into which I can slide my new iPad with its leather smart cover on, and which includes purse pockets like cash, credit cards, etc. I really wanted to like the Happy Owl iPad Wallet, but I prefer to use the iPad with just the smart cover on it (too bulky inside the big case).

Any ideas? I'm digging through the rest of this thread to see if any of these will do...

FWIW, I've carried a purse for years (like the "man bag" from Seinfeld), and am trying to replace it with something that will hold my iPad...

Thoughts?

By far this is the best IPAD case ever... I've had 3 different cases including INVELLOP, but we have 2 kids that use one of the IPAD'S and we've had to get it replaced because of a broken screen. Now the only one i will use is this one.. I love it and it has a cover for the screen and that means no scratches 🙂 i'm very happy with this cover.
