I am looking for a case into which I can slide my new iPad with its leather smart cover on, and which includes purse pockets like cash, credit cards, etc. I really wanted to like the Happy Owl iPad Wallet, but I prefer to use the iPad with just the smart cover on it (too bulky inside the big case).

Any ideas? I'm digging through the rest of this thread to see if any of these will do...

FWIW, I've carried a purse for years (like the "man bag" from Seinfeld), and am trying to replace it with something that will hold my iPad...

I love my Targus Versavu case it has a great design that shows the iPad logo nicely, great layers of leather protection. The case secures strongly as a vertical and horizontal stand. 🙂

I use an Apple Smart Cover and Soul Sleeve. Great protection! My kid dropped it last week at the store and THANK GOD I had this on it!! I don't see too many of these around though. Got the red one.

Bought the gumdrop drop tech and it is absolutely not worth the money and the inconvenience of doubling the weight of the iPad!

Though it looks sturdy my screen broke the very first time it was tested - a fall from the bed stand to the hardwood floor! The company likes playing up the protection it's product supposedly offers but doesn't stand behind its products. Excerpt from an email from customer service says it all "Our cases are to protect the case. Often times without explanation the iPad will still become damaged. It is by your own admission that you dropped your iPad. We do not offer insurance or a warranty for any device that uses our cases". I guess the case is mean't to protect when you don't drop your iPad!

Caveat emptor! Gumdrop doesn't obviously stand behind its products and that says all you need to know.

I would keep this in mind as I look at cases. Thanks,

By far this is the best IPAD case ever... I've had 3 different cases including INVELLOP, but we have 2 kids that use one of the IPAD'S and we've had to get it replaced because of a broken screen. Now the only one i will use is this one.. I love it and it has a cover for the screen and that means no scratches 🙂 i'm very happy with this cover.
