Can I copy a DVD that's more than 120 minutes long?

I have copied a DVD onto my computer using disk utility. It is a little over two hours long. When I try to make a copy of it on a TDK 8X 4.7 GB DVD-R, I get a message saying there is not enough space on the disc. I have an iMac G5 OS 10.3.9 1.8 GHz with a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-K04F. I have seen discs in the store that have the capability to record more than two hours, but I don't know if I can use them, or how to if I can.

You are trying to fit too much data on a single layer DVD. It seems that the image you are trying to burn is larger than the 4.7GB allowed on a SL disk.

Since you do not have a DL DVD burner, you will have to edit the info to fit, or span it over two DVDs - or burn it to a DL DVD using another computer that has that kind of burner.

or you can use third party software such as popcorn or toast to compress the data so it will fit on a single layer dvd.
