Installed iOS 4.3.2 now apps won't open - anyone else?

Tried the sync method, didnt work, I was resigned to try deleting every app and re-installing each one. Amazingly, after deleting pandora from my phone and re-downloading it, all my apps started working again, go figure, hope this helps

I experienced the same problem after updating firmwire. Re-syncing my iPhone did not resolved the issue. Then I just deleted Facebook and re-installed it. After reinstallation of facebook, not only it is opening properly, but also other third party applications are opening without any issue.

This would appear to be an iOS bug. Leave Apple some feedback here and if enough people respond, it will become a 'known issue' internally.

I would say that for any other users, try quitting any open apps (via the Multitasking tray) and restart iPhone. If that does not work, try deleting one specific, commonly-used app. Chances are, iOS clears some setting and all other apps work just fine.

I updated earlier today. My phone seems to be working just fine. I can't tell any difference at all.

ok, tried i) deleting/installing App ii)hard reset by pressing Home / Power button for 10 seconds iii) multiple resynch with iTunes and still had issue with starting some of the Apps after updating to iOS 4.3.2

To fix the issue, here is what I did

1) update the Apps on the iPhone

2) Transfter from Purchase on the iTunes (File -> Transfer purchase from iPod)

After UPDATING the Apps on the iPhone to the lastest, I can now start ALL my Apps successfuly

I never addressed Apple workers directly. I merely made an observation that this many people having the same issue with the new update is not good.

Re-syncing was not the solution for me, it did not work.

Though the suggestion from others to delete an app and re-install did. My phone is working fine now.

Same thing happened to me - after the update only built-in apps would start. I had 10 pending updates - I let them install & now things are working again.

I am glad that I did not follow the hard reset advice - I have better things to do than spending hours restoring my data!

Same problem here. FIX:

• open the app store on your iPhone
• search for an app that you know you have installed. I used facebook
• You'll see that the option to install it again is there. Click on the FREE button
• Install the app over top the one that you already have.
• Voila. This worked for me but it's stupid.

I didnt have to delete anything. I just updated any one of the apps needing to be updated from the App Store.

After that everything was fine.

This happened to me just now. I opened the app store on the iPhone screen and clicked "update all" and everything worked again.

Problem described occurred on wife's iPad v1 after IOS update on 4/24/11. Issue appeared to affect any downloaded app, whether third part or Apple. Original apps ran as the should.

After reading through this thread and correlating a couple commonalities among posters, I removed one of the affected apps and re-installed it. Simply removing the app did not resolve the issue. However, re-installing the app DID resolve the issue.

The device is now working normally.

Agree, this works. Uninstalling Apps (GoodReader and DropBox only affected)via iTunes and reinstalling did not help; doing a complete iPad reinstall did not help, BUT reinstalling via Appstore app on the iPad did work. Thanks.

I had the same problem just 30mins ago, very frustating that after updating the 3rd party apps didn't worked.

As suggested here, I tried:

1. Re-sync and Turn off/on--> Didn't worked

2. Uninstalled an app (I picked FB) and re-installed it. --> For some weird reason, everything work fine afterwards.

This was a waste of time, Apple need to fix this...

I have followed all others advised but still not working well in my iphone 3gs.

can any one help me to solve this issue. I can no longer open my applications.

Same here after the update - uninstalled one app then reinstalled it and everything is now working.

Interesting software quality control, Apple !
