Installed iOS 4.3.2 now apps won't open - anyone else?

Hi, as per topic I installed OS 4.3.2 last night and since then I am unable to open any of my apps which I've downloaded.
They open, but the screen returns to the home screen. When I look at my open applications I can see that they're open, but I can't access them.
Standard Apple apps (mail, messages, safari, maps) open and work fine.

Anyone else have this problem and/or know how I can fix it?

iPhone4, iOS 4, 4.3.2

I just had the same problem. What it seems that you need to do is click on the "Store" tab in iTunes and authorize the computer you are on and then re-sync the apps. This will re-sync your third party apps without the need to delete and re-install (or pay again for the apps)

This happens automatically if you delete and reinstall an app so that is why your work around seemed to fix the problem.

Updated my iPhone today and could not run apps. I tried updating purchased apps but that did not work. I did have one app in my cloud that was not on my iPhone (I had not planned to put it on the phone), so I decided to try downloading it to the phone. The app/iTunes store made me agree to a new 'terms of service' agreement before it downloaded the app from my cloud. Once I did that and the app downloaded, my other apps started working. I think the problem is with iTunes new 'terms of service agreement'. They probably need to add it to the update purchases tab on the iPhone and then maybe you would not need to download a new or old app. Anyway, I believe if you just download any new app and agree to the new 'terms of service', the apps on the phone will work.

I noticed this same issue with iOS 4.3.5 and even a certain unmentionable iOS in development. As a new Apple iOS Developer, I contacted Apple's Developer Technical Support (DTS) and initiated a Technical Support Incident (TSI). The device console logs for each attempt to open an app always result in:

Aug 16 21:30:44 <DeviceName> SpringBoard[61] <Warning>: Application '<AppName>' exited abnormally with signal 9: Killed: 9

Aug 16 21:30:45 <DeviceName> kernel[0] <Debug>: AppleFairplayTextCrypterSession::fairplayOpen() failed, error -42017

I have tried all of the various techniques described in this thread:

  • Delete an app, re-install it
  • Sync iPad to iTunes
  • Reboot iPad
  • Update All Apps

I received an acknowledgement from Apple that my device console log has been received and that it is under investigation. If Apple's fix is not under NDA or require a Developer account, I'll share their solution with this forum.

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM

Unable to start any third-party application on 64GB iPad 2 running XXX. Screen flashes black and returns to home screen clicking on any app. Device console log for any attempt shows:

Aug 16 21:30:44 Shinigami SpringBoard[61] <Warning>: Application '<AppName>' exited abnormally with signal 9: Killed: 9

Aug 16 21:30:45 Shinigami kernel[0] <Debug>: AppleFairplayTextCrypterSession::fairplayOpen() failed, error -42017

Multiple app purchases/downloads/reinstalls/removals, reboots, and re-syncs (both wireless and tethered) do not repair permissions or allow apps to start normally. I am at a loss for how to continue or to allow apps to work normally. Please advise.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Click any application

2. App exits abnormally, killed via signal 9, followed by <Debug>: AppleFairplayTextCrypterSession::fairplayOpen() failed, error -42017

3. Attempted to use App Store to download new apps, delete apps, re-download apps, buy new apps. All app installs/removals work correctly. Does not repair permission to start any application. Unable to start any application even after multiple reboots, multiple syncs both wireless (iCloud) and tethered (USB) to iTunes.
