Macintosh SE 1/20 Ghost Drives

Hi,
I bought a Mac SE 1 / 20 model M5011. It works perfectly so far, the 3.6 volt battery I have already replaced with a new one, but unfortunately come to the installation of such System 6.0.7. again and again the following error messages:

Only when I little tool "System Picker"start and finish again this error no longer occurs. Is this a hardware defect?

Hi,

The message means that the computer is unable to read a floppy disk. It asks whether to initialise (format) the floppy.

What kind of disk is it? As you probably know already, a plain Macintosh SE (not the FDHD variant) is limited to handling 800K Macintosh-formatted DSDD/2DD diskettes.

There is no disk in the floppy drive! The SE has completely booted from the hard drive, he thinks only there an inserted floppy disk or an external drive would be. But it is neither of them true! The windows appear to listen to when I start the program "System Picker.

Hello again,

Yes, I see the different icons now.

According to Larry Pina's book "The Dead Mac Scrolls" (ISBN 0-940235-25-0), pp 219-220, this could be related to a problem with filter networks at logic board references B9 and B11.

OK, I found four of the filter 20 pin dips but must i remove all of them?
