Nikon D200

I am the proud owner of a Nikon D200. I shot a series in Nikon Raw, Nef format and tried to import the pictures into Aperture.
It says: UNSUPPORTED IMAGE FORMAT
With my Nikon D100 it worked just fine.
What now?

Hi Jim, welcome to the forum.

The D200 is a brand new camera - the only two convertors I know of that support it yet are Nikon Capture and Bibble. Your best bet is to post feedback via the official form asking for support.

Bear in mind that RAW is not a specific format (it's the raw information from the camera sensor plus metadata), and varies from camera to camera, even if the file extension is the same - D70 .NEFS are different from D70s .NEFs.

Using the Adobe Bridge update (download folders and then follow instructions carefully) on the Adobe web site you can open D200 NEF images.
I just shot some tests this last weekend and succesfully did the download of the images in both JPG and NEF. Comparing the Same JPG and Raw NEF images I found them to be very different.
I have been told that if you use Nikon's own software the Raw images will compare well with the JPGs
However Nikon's software is terribly slow.
