Griffin iTrip FM Transmitter

Is it possible to use the Griffin iTrip FM Transmitter with the newest iPod? I noticed that the iTrip has a little square connector next to the 1/8" connection, but my iPod only has the 1/8" jack for the ear buds.

no it is not, because there is no longer a remote control port to power the itrip on the 5G ipods... but there is a new modified version for the 5G ipods.
