Trying to get pictures out of a Motorola e815 from Verizon

Hello. I'm trying to get some pictures of my mom's Motorola e815. I've been able to succesfully been able to get her contacts synced with her Mac Mini, but I am unable to browse through the phone to get her pictures off. I've tryed the Bluetooth File Excange application in the utilities folder, but hen I try to browse through the phone, it says "Device does not have the necessary services". I've tried searching through the support section of the Apple website, and tried searching through the discussion boards, but could not get any infromation. Can anyone help me?

Hi there! Unfortunately without seriously hacking the phone you will not be able to get the pics off of it via bluetooth. Verizon cripples certain bluetooth capabilities on their phones.

There's actually a good number of threads on it in the iSync forum I believe. search E815 on the main forum page and you'll find them.

I have a transflash memory card in my phone to store pics on and I just ordered a card reader to transfer them to my mac. I'm not sure but you might be able to buy the data cable for the phone and get them off the phone that way. I have no idea about that.

Sorry to break that news to you!

Yes, Verizon has limited the Bluetooth capabilities of their phones. Are her pictures saved on a TransFlash card(if she has one)? If so, you can use the SD Card adapter that came with it to transfer the pictures to her Mac, provided that she has an SD card reader. Motorola does sell a USB cable for the E815. My GSM V635 supports data transfers through Bluetooth, and it came with a TransFlash card, and a USB cable, but I'm only using the USB Cable. I found that the USB cable only reads the memory on the TransFlash card, not the phone memory. I'm not sure if a USB cable connected to an E815 would perform the same way as if it was connected to my V635. I hope this sheds some light on your problem.
