how to activate the face time

Settings>FaceTime. Set FaceTime to "On". Did you not bother reading this thread at all?

Hi all,, i've been using my iphone 4 for 6 months now and i reside in singapore. When i turn on my face time the message saying "Waiting for activation..." never end. When i find a name to call there is no face time button to press.Can someone please advise me how to fix this?? Help is needed and thanks in advance.

im calling my sister and its saying 'the person is not available for Face time'.

She is probably not connected to WiFi.

I am connected to WiFi, as I get mail all the time. I went to the general settings and chose Face time and it jsut will not let me on. I'm using iPod touch, the latest one. It worked before, but it has been a while since I last tried it. Now it won't work. I reset the password and that worked as far as my ID is, but it still won't work on the touch. Now what?

Try asking in the iPod forum. This is the iPhone forum. They handle facetime activation completely differently.

hi, i bought my iphone 4s in qatar and now im using it in philippines. can i still use it? i cant find facetime in settings either in my contacts. pls help

FaceTime has been permanently removed from iPhone sold in Qatar, KSA, and UAE at the request of thier governments. It is banned by law there.

It can not be added to any phones that originated in that region.

No. It has be permanently removed. Complain to the government of Qatar. The requirement was theirs.

Useless? BLAME THE GOVERNMENT OF QATAR! There is NOTHING anyone here or anywhere else can do for you!

If you're unhappy, sell it and buy a phone in a country where it is not ILLEGAL!

Answer is here: Doesn't matter if you've tried everything else ie..date time automatic, hosts file, or whatever else. I did it all and this works, even if the internet service blocks it. Find a trial version of VPN , ie. http://openvpn.net/ it gives you 100 free MB to download. Anyways, this will give you a U.S. ip address and unblock your connection so that you can register facetime..yes, it also works on phones, just shop around. This will correct the registration error on facetime.
