I have a ipod nano 6G and a 2010 Ford Fiesta. which for some reason don't get on. when i plug in the ipod through the aux cable music will play but with a very annoying static noise in the background. HELP!

This does not happen when using the ipod through any other speakers/headphones,

Or when i use othe mp3 players/phones in the car.

I've tried swapping the aux cable for a new one and same problem.

Spoke to Ford who said it is nothing to do with them and the ipod is faulty.

Spoke to apple who said as long as the software is up to date (which it is) then it must be a freak fault.

Any ideas? 😟

Since your iPod Nano works everywhere else.......

Call Ford again. This time ask to speak w/a supervisor/manager & specifically ask them if their dock is compatible with the iPod Nano 6th Generation. If they say yes, ask them to provided you w/step by step instructions to get rid of the static noise.

Hi,

I have just recently bought a 2011 focus (built in second half of 2010) and this static noise was driving me mad! I thought it may have been an AUX port fault with the car as I bought the car second hand from a garage. I researched on the internet and found your solution, I have now ordered one of these cables from Amazon, fingers crossed it works for me like it did for you.
