my music doesn't show up on my iPod touch but does show up in itunes

When I connect my Ipod to Itunes all my music shows up in my music folder but it's just not there on my Ipod! My Ipod says "No content" in the music folder where my music used to be. I updated Itunes to the latest version and that's when this happened. I tried restoring my Ipod and then syncing it again. Itunes went through all the motions of syncing it and I saw it put all my music on my Ipod on the computer screen but once again when I look on my Ipod there's no music to be found. If anyone has any ideas I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Try resetting your iPod: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430.

This has worked for some otherseventhough it said it is applicable for after updating to iOS 4.2.1.

Fix for “No Content” on iPhone & iPod after iOS 4.2.1 update

!It worked!!! Thanks so much! I couldn't believe I "lost" everything after upgrading, but after turning it off and back on, my music is back!

Ugh. Synced today and it "lost" the Music content again.

Neither the "play in iTunes" nor the "language change" fix seemed to work for me.

During sync, my "capacity" bar fills briefly, then returns to mostly-free.
