Import titles to iTunes - Slow

I'm having the same problem and I'm pretty sure it's just a glitch in the 10.2.2 update. I think the only thing you can do right now is provide feedback to Apple and wait for a new update that will solve the issue. Annoying, I know.

I wonder if reverting back to the previous update will fix the issue for now.

I'm having the same problem. I've got nearly 1TB of music on an external Firewire 800 drive. Since installing 10.2.2, I've been having incredibly slow importing problems when importing from mp3 or other digital audio files. Hoping Apple sees this and corrects it quickly.

I'd like to report the same problem with update 10.2.2. I have been importing albums for the last hour at the rate of one every 4 minutes, really slow. I imported a CD two days ago and it went very fast but unfortunately didn't experience the reversal behaviour Markus got. I am about to install the font update, I'll be back with comments.

Very very slow to import files to itunes, just started after 10.2.2 update.

when I drag a folder or a group of mp3 files into itunes it will take about 30-60 seconds per song to import.

before it used to be like 5 seconds to import a song.

this is really bugging. I hope there is an update soon to fix this issue.

Same problem here. So very annoying. I don't have iTunes copying music files, but I do have it organizing the files I drag into my music folder.

Same for me. The font update did not fix the problem for me.

Same here, makes me want to stop updating software once things "work." It may be my imagination, but it seems to be slightly quicker after using Disk Utility to Repair Disk Permissions.

this is getting annoying... I'm adding files to my itunes library and it takes forever!!... 15 songs took almost half an hour!!!!

Getting the exact same problem. Adding files from my iTunes folder to my library takes roughly 5 minutes for a 10 song album. Hoping for a software update from Apple soon!

Yep, same problem for me too. A real pain. Come on Apple, hurry up and get an update!
