You also stated this with your original post:

If only I could go back in time I would have spent my hard earned cash on a product that was capable of accessing all the basic Internet systems!!!!!!!

So which is it?

Regardless, sell it and purchase a device that meets your most important needs/wants. If a tablet, just know that Adobe recently announced they will not longer be providing and support Flush with any mobile devices. The version included on whatever mobile device you purchase will not be update or supported in the future.

Obvously you're either an Apple fan or you're not. Funny how biased all of these posts are one way or the other. Not helpful for anyone wanting to know any relevant information. And in regard to your comment Allan Sampson, I'm not at all clueless- in fact i'd hazard a guess that from your comments i'm a darn sight more intelligent than you- there are no good alternatives to Flash for iPads and YES I have spent a great deal of time looking. Websites that use Flash (which there are a lot of) simply aren't able to be viewed on iPads. I personally would like to have the option of accessing any site I wish too.

For those who don't want to access sites that use Flash and are happy with their iPads then that's great. I'm very happy for you. As I stated the iPad was a gift and had I purchased it myself I would have made **** sure it was capable of doing the things I wanted it to do before hand. Thankfully the staff at the Apple Online Shop were more than helpful (unlike most of the comments on this thread) and not only apologized for the inability for the iPad to open 'Flash' sites, but also offered a full refund no questions asked. So my issue is now fully resolved. I will continue to happliy use my iPhone for all things Apple and will order a new tablet that I can use how I choose.

Well smart arse... they thought it would be an awesome surprise and didn't know i'd find it to be useless. Why the **** are you harping on about the reason's behind someone buying someone else a gift? Clearly you have a very small and boring existance if this is an issue for you. Get a life.

And the point I was making was that had I spent MY money on a product I would have researched that it was capable of doing what I wanted before buying it. As the gift was a SURPRISE I guess my partner decided against discussing it with me in detail before buying it. That clear enough for you tiny brain to process?

Well that's the beauty of it stevejobsfan0123... I will be able to test out a few different tablets and if they don't suit then i'll get another laptop. I'm really after something small and compact that I can access the net on at home and at work and can take overseas when I travel. For work I need to be able to use Flash and it's also handy to access it when travelling. I currently have a HP notebook which has been good but is a little heavier than a tablet. As I don't need to be able to use it like a desktop computer I'm sure there'll ne a tablet out there that's suitable.

Gee. You're the one whining on the forum because you can't get your own way. Grow up.

Clearly, you are getting upset because it can't do what you want it to do. Like you stated, it was a gift, this meaning you didn't spend YOUR money on it....What are you so upset about, if you didn't spend your money and it doesn't do what you want it to do. Take it somewhere that will give you some in store credit for it and go get one with your money that will do what you want it to do and don't get all upset because it doesn't run what you want it to run....Thing with a gift, someone is trying to do something nice for you and get you something that think you can use. Instead of getting all worked up, just do something with it that will get you something that you do want and can use.
