I agree with the frustration of the poster. When I purchased my iPad 2 I didn't realize how many sites I regularly use the require flash. I do not feel the user should have to alter their browsing to fit the device but the manufacturer should do what they can to make it user friendly. I am within the return period time frame and I'm sad to say I'm going to have to return it since I'm unable to do the things I need to do. Sad, because other than this one issue I LOVE the iPad! The main draw for me was being able to sync it w/my iPhone, plus the portability is great. And since they made word processing so much easier I thought I'd pretty much be able to replace lugging around a laptop. So yea, I'm disappointed they couldn't come up with a solution for this. Looks as though I have to return it, since I dont have time to wait for a fix, and buy another, more lightweight, laptop. I was really hoping a tablet would work for me. Too bad. I really liked most everything else :(

Frak, yes....I want flash player on the iPad 3, I was trying to see a preview of a new movie, and of course no flash player, I could not play it... Unfortunately, iPad is not an operating system, more a browser with cute apps...I use the iPad mostly for fun, reading and playing some games...I use the new Samsung serie 7 slate for work, since is a full operating system...Still carrying both is lighter than carrying my notebook...Now, you will not see me argueeing about thechnology, both have their use...

Care to offer an explanation for why tens of millions of users seem to be perfectly happy with the iPad without Flash support? Every third party survey shows users very pleased with their iPad, very pleased with the customer service they get from Apple, and with very positive impressions of Apple? The iPad dominates the tablet market and has from day one. The iPad is becoming ubiquitous.

You are, of course, entitled to your opinion and should buy whatever fits your needs. The Apple Mac Air series laptops are by far the most popular of "lightweight" or "ultrabook" class. But you would have to admit your opinon in this matter is in the extreme minority. Most iPad users don't share your concerns.

And that's why there is no Flash for iOS.

Complete Bogus Baloney from a first post troll who joined today. Any post that describes iOS and the iPad as a toy is just parotting the iHater mantra hoping it will somehow stick. Well, considering that the iPad is being adopted in droves by the Enterprise these days,I would say you are delusional as most haters are.

And by the way, we old timers have seen your ilk for many years on these forums and none of us believe for a second you actually own an iPad. Ceratinly not someone who claims to own a boat anchor like the Samsung slate.
