Adobe couldn't get Flash to work on iOS simply because of the restriction apple set, ie iOS under total lockdown

Again, why didn't they develop and deploy Flash with their own in-house, enterprise apps?

Skyfire & Photon browser DO NOT show flash content! if you go onto a site that has flash, the page is converted on an external server to something which will play on iOS and then streamed back to the phone, thats why they are slow and most of the time usually dont work!

and this would have been too much for Adobe to accomplish?

For whatever reasons (likely many of which Steve Jobs mentioned), Adobe has decided that Flash on mobile devices is not worth the effort.

Why would Adobe want to accomplish that, those browsers DO NOT play flash content on iOS

I dont either, I have my blackberry playbook and that can browse every website.

but there you go again, Adobe could have done it if apple allowed it, part of the reason Apple didnt want flash on iOS is probably to do with the App store, ie people using flash based apps would mean people werent restricted to the App store and we know Apple like their restrictions.

I've read thru many of the posts in this thread...and am surprised at the nature of the responses of those most likely are employed with Apple (those with purple dots, assuming an earlier post was correct on this). They have done very well in explaining solid reasons as to why Flasy Player is not available on the iPad. Where most of themhave failed miserably is in the area of customer service. I'm new to this forum...but won't be returning. their sarcasm, arrogant and mean spirited replies are astonishing. it's doubtful Apple upper management would approve.

Good luck all. I'm signing off to enjoy my new iPad. Excellent product!
